Summer Newsletter 2017

School Leaver….

We are very sad to see a lot of children leaving us to start big school, we wish them all the very best, we will
miss them all.

We would like to welcome all new children and their families to Smile, we look forward to caring for them all
and building good relationships with you.

Smile Staff………

We would like to welcome Samantha to our staffing team, she is on a trial with us over the summer, with
the possibility of starting an apprenticeship with us in September.

Contact Details…………

If any of your child’ s personal details change, will you please let the nursery know as soon as possible, this
includes any contact numbers, addresses and child’s health conditions.

Nursery Fees…….

We would be grateful if you could pay your childcare fees in advance by the 1st of each month. If paying by
bacs we would really appreciate it if you could use your child’s full name for reference.

Parents/carers can now apply for tax free childcare please visit the childcare choices website for details on
setting this up.


Little Kickers football classes are going ahead over the summer, please talk to a member of staff it you would
like your child to take part, these run every Tuesday mornings, weather permitting.

Jo Jingle and French classes will be running again in September.

Nursery Places September 2017….

If your child is 2 or 3 between 01/04/2014 and 31/08/2014, they may be entitled to 15/30 hours of free nursery education as from September 2017, you can now spread the 15/30 hours over 51 weeks of the year.

Summer Holidays……

We are running a holiday club during the 6 weeks holiday, we lots of fun activities inside and out. Please contact the nursery for a booking form.

Forest School……

The Pre-school children are now experiencing education outdoor in our Woodland classroom


We are in the process of changing from Capture Education to another provider of online observations this is called ey.log, we feel this will be better as links to more areas of learning and seems easier to use!
