Warm Welcome…
We would like to welcome all new children and their families to Smile, the children have all quickly settled
and are a pleasure to look after.
Smile Staff…
After 11 years of working at Smile, we say a sad goodbye to JoJo, Jo is going to work as a classroom assistant in a school for children with additional needs, she will be sadly missed by all. We wish her all the best for the future.
Rachael will be taking on Jo’s position as deputy manager alongside Amy, she is looking forward to her new role.
We would like to welcome Bethany to our staffing team, she has lots of experience and is highly qualified in childcare and education.

If any of your child’ s personal details change, will you please let the nursery know as soon as possible, this includes any contact numbers, addresses and child’s health conditions.
Nursery Fees…
We would be grateful if you could pay your childcare fees in advance by the 1st of each month. If paying by bacs we would really appreciate it if you could use your child’s full name for reference.
Parents/carers can now apply for tax free childcare please visit the childcare choices website for details on setting this up.
Classes…
Motion Dance classes are all running this term, if you would like to sign your child up to any of these classes please ask a member of staff.
Smile4life…
We have just had our annual review and successfully completed the Smile4life early years award. If you would like any help or support with oral health please talk to Tracey or Amy.
Nursery Places January 2018…
If your child is 2 or 3 between 31/08/2017 and 31/12/2017 they may be entitled to 15/30 hours of
free nursery education as from January 2018, you can now spread the 15/30 hours over 51 weeks of the year. Please visit: www.childcarechoices.gov.uk.
If you have any questions please contact HMRC on 0300 123 4097. Please apply before the 30th November to receive 30 hours of free education for 3 year olds
Term dates…
Spring terms runs from Thursday 4th January—Thursday 29th March 2018
The nursery will close on Friday 22nd December and re-open on Tuesday 2nd January 2018
Half term is Monday 12—16 February.
Christmas holiday club…
We are running a holiday club during the Christmas holidays from Monday 18th December – Friday 22nd December 2017 and the 2nd and 3rd January 2018, we lots of fun activities inside and out. Please contact the nursery for a booking form.
Ey.log…
You should all now be signed up to ey.log. If you are unable to log in please talk to a member of staff. This is a great way to observe your child’s development and add your own comments.
